Wolf In sheep’s clothing
The shaft of the arrow had been feathered with one of the eagle’s own plumes. We often give our enemies the means of our own destruction. — Aesop, The Eagle and the Arrow
We all know my opinion on fast food, and the owners that operate them. If you don’t, let me catch you up to date.
Fast food is bad. The people who sell it are evil.
Please don’t subscribe to the consumer notion that people who sell you something have your best interest in mind. People who sell you something have their best interest at heart.
In “the Richest Man in Babylon” by George S. Clason, there is a story where the mentor Algamish is giving advice to a guy by the name Arkad. After saving some of his money Arkad invested his money in jewels through a brick layer. The brick layer was to travel to a distant land and purchase the jewels. Algamish explained to Arkad that he had made a foolish mistake trusting a brick maker to buy jewels. Algamish stated that advice is free but make sure the advice is worth having.
Always ask, what is the motivation of the person giving advice? My motivations are simple, My readers and followers help push me to achieve my personal goals in fitness and in life.
Now to the point… I seen a headline today that read “Yum launches fitness initiative”
Who is Yum Brands Inc? Well they are the owners of KFC, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, Long John Silver’s and A&W Restaurants…
What is a major owner of the evil empire know about healthy living and fitness. What is their motivation? Can anybody say $$$
“Customers can register for a free, month-long eFIT4Me trial membership. After the trial expires, customers can continue at a rate of $5.99 per month, half off the regular price, Yum said in the release.”
Let’s see… they have a captive audience of obese people looking for a magic solution to their problem. How many articles do to you think will cover giving up fast food.
Remember in order to actually lose weight and get healthy you must simply eat quality foods and burn more calories then you consume.
NOTICE I SAID GET HEALTHY. I know many thin people who have had major heart attacks at early ages. Eating fast food and exercising your butt off will make you lose weight.. But it will not make you healthy inside where it counts.
I can’t help but believe that Yum Brands and their new “fitness initiative” is going to be biased information that will be missing part of the picture.
